About CREDAI

The Confederation of Real Estate Developers’ Associations of India (CREDAI) is the premier organization representing private real estate developers in India. Established in 1999, CREDAI aims to transform the Indian real estate industry and advocate for affordable housing and sustainable urban development.

With over 13,000 member developers across 230 city chapters in 21 states, CREDAI plays a pivotal role in shaping policy by serving as the voice of the real estate sector in discussions with various Government Ministries and organizations.

CREDAI is committed to making the real estate industry more organized, ethical, and progressive. This is achieved by fostering collaboration between all stakeholders, including:

2. Policy Advocacy

CREDAI works closely with key government bodies, including:

  • Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs
  • Ministry of Finance
  • Ministry of Environment, Forests, and Climate Change
  • Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship
  • Ministry of Civil Aviation

It also engages with agencies like Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE), and NITI Aayog to influence policies for a transparent and robust real estate ecosystem.

CREDAI promotes ethical business practices through its Code of Conduct, ensuring that members maintain integrity and transparency in all dealings.

  • Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum (CGRF): A platform for homebuyers to register complaints against member developers and receive swift resolutions.
  • Transparency: CREDAI actively works to protect the interests of homebuyers and build trust through transparent practices.
